Happy birthday, Grandpa

Today was Grandpa's birthday and we had a great time celebrating with him. Both Nana and Grandpa took today off to spend time with us. First Lana got up and helped Grandpa open his gifts.

Of course, Lana was more interested in the bags and paper than the presents.

Then we got ready to take Grandpa out to lunch for his birthday. It was cold, so Lana changed into her track suit. While Nana and Lana were waiting on Grandpa and I, Lana snuggled up with Nana. She loved her pants and kept trying to eat them!

Lana was really tired at lunch so Nana and Grandpa had to take turns walking her stroller up and down the pier until she finally fell asleep. Once she was asleep, we were able to walk up and down shopping and enjoying ourselves. It was a short nap, but she felt much better afterwards.

When we got home, though, Lana was really tired and cranky. Grandpa read her favorite story book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, to her to help her calm down and sleep.

Unfortunately, Grandpa fell asleep too.

Finally, Nana gave Lana a bath (her favorite time of day) and Lana went straight to sleep.
