So all the kids were doing a little shows for us last night. Not to be left out, Lana got up to dance and sing. I don't think you can hear her singing but it's cute. Just ignore my crappy singing. I have a cold and can't sing for anything anyway...
(I'm trying a new thing with my videos so watch for a new window to pop up.)
Not to be outdone, Calli was performing for us tonight... (Sorry, it's a little dark)
We had Calli's christening yesterday at mass. With it being race weekend, hotel rooms were hard to come by so we just had us, Nana and Pop, and Calli's godparents - Chris and Jackie - in town for it. We kept the party to just us too since we didn't even get back to the house until after 7:00. Calli was really good for the ceremony. She was a bit fussy at the beginning of mass, but she calmed down and was just listening and watching everything after she got rid of her hiccups. She loved the water and oil like Lana did. She even kinda liked everyone clapping for her - at least she quieted down after nearly starting crying again during it. Here are a few pics from the ceremony... and a few of afterwards. (Poor Sean didn't get a pic with Calli. We don't know what happened. I think he was trying to corral all the kids and got left out but we need to do one of the two of them soon!!!)
Chris and Jackie came up this weekend for her Christening. Lana had a great time playing with her cousins but she was really shy. They actually weren't sure she could talk until later last night when she finally started to open up. It made for a late night for everyone, but everyone had a great time. In the morning, we found some blue bonnets and did some blue bonnet pictures that I'll post as soon as I get some time to process them. Here's a few of Lana playing with her cousins...
And, of course, Calli had to get in her snuggles with her godparents and cousin Gracie
We had a great weekend this weekend with our cousins. We drove down to Houston for a quick trip before Christmas just to see everyone and see their new pool. It was even hot enough to go in it...or at least in the hot tub. Lana loved swimming in the pool and never wanted to get out. She also loved playing with her cousins. Emma was great at sharing her toys and "helping" Lana learn to crawl. Gracie even helped Lana try to walk and Taylor played with her in the pool to make her laugh.
