Heading to Nana's

Yesterday we flew out to Nana and Pop's in Florida. Lana was so excited to be going to Nana and Pop's. She really remembered it. She said she was going to go in Nana's pool and build sand castles with Pop.


The flight out was pretty rough. It was Calli's first flight. We meant to get a picture of her, but life was just too crazy. Lana figured out that if she said she had to go potty, she got to get up (and unbuckled) and walk all the way down the plane to the bathroom and back. She did actually pee once (which we were very impressed about) but she went to the bathroom at least 4 times. We also made the mistake of having me take Lana the first time (worried that she was going to be scared). That would have been fine, but Calli had just fallen asleep on me and woke up when I got back. She didn't go back to sleep for the rest of the flight and mostly just fussed the whole flight. It wasn't awful, but it definitely wasn't fun. On the way back, we're each taking a kid.

In any case, the flight went by in a blink and we were here and Nana was getting us. The first thing Lana said to Nana was "Where's Pop?" Too cute. Plan for the week is just lots of beach, lots of pool and lots of sleep (for Mommy too). We'll see how that goes. Hope everyone has a good 4th of July.
