The kids had a great time taking Daddy to the zoo this weekend. It was a bit chillier than it was supposed to be, but still a lot of fun. It's mating season and it was feeding time so all the animals were up and running around. We went Sunday right after Brent got home from work. (He went in for a few hours in the morning.) Everyday since, Calli has been asking to go back to the zoo when Daddy gets home. We'll all have to go again really soon.
They must be hoping for lion cubs again b/c the "Mommy" and "Daddy" lions are in the same enclosure again. They were "talking" a ton when we were there - roaring at each other, at the "baby" lion in the enclosure next door, at the zebras below them, etc. The babies were a huge hit (and draw) for them last year. It was fun to watch them "grow up". Look how big they are now.
