A Day at the Beach

Today was a great day. First we had a lazy morning. Lana had a bit of a rash (probably from something she ate yesterday) so we stuck around the house and gave her some Benadryl so we could keep an eye on it. This afternoon, we headed to a craft fair out on Siesta Key and over to the beach. It was a bit cold, but Lana loved the sand. She wasn't too sure about it at first, but was down and playing in it in no time.

Lana and I even got in the water! It was warmer than the air, of course.

Then we went out for snacks and drinks at a near-by restaurant. Lana loved Granpa's split pea soup!!

Doesn't she just look so big and old sitting in the restaurant waiting for "her" soup? She's growing up too fast for me!

And what Saturday would be complete without watching some college football. Nana, Grandpa and Lana curled up on the couch to watch the Virginia Tech game...or at least a few minutes of it before bedtime.
