Wow! What a difference a year makes. Where last year, Lana was less than excited about Christmas trees (or Christmas in general), this year, she loved looking for a tree. We ended up just going to a tiny tree lot that also sold firewood this morning. We still might take her up to the Christmas Tree "farm" we went to last year, but we weren't all that impressed by those trees and (honestly) didn't have a ton of time. So with it being 38 degrees and thinking about rain (Thank goodness the new winter jacket that Nana got her came in on Friday!!!!), we ran out to get some firewood on our way to Costco and found out they also had a few trees. Lana loved all of them. She just kept running from one tree saying "tree" and "touch". Her favorites were actually the smaller ones closer to her size. We ended up with a smaller tree than usual just because the guy assured us it had just been cut a week ago (rather than the ones up at the tree farm that were probably cut in October) and it was perfect. Lana loved it too and hated getting back in the car even though she was freezing. All the way home she kept saying "tree tree" and wanting to get out and she was soooooooooooo excited to find out we'd brought one home with us. We brought it inside tonight and Lana had a great time "helping" Brent tightening the screws and kissing the tree (and Brent). Hopefully we can get it decorated sometime this week!

Still too big, huh? The jacket, I mean. But she looks so cute and I'm so glad we got it.
Love all the pictures...remembering tree hunting with you and Sean.
