Here's my favorite pic of the two sisters:

I really want to put a white backdrop or something up really quickly later today or tomorrow and try to get a professional looking pic of the two of them for Brent to bring in to work next week. I know he doesn't care much, but it'd be nice to have for when they're older as well even if I just get out the good camera and do a few.
So here are my two favorite stories about Lana and Calli recently. First of all, after all the experiences we had with poop, spit up and pee everywhere when Lana was a baby (and still now), we had a first with Calli who managed to squirt poop across the room. Seriously, it went a good 4 feet or more. I was in the middle of changing her and just as I lifted her up to put the diaper underneath, she squirted it everywhere. Poor Brent was totally and completely horrified by poop on the carpet. Personally, poop on the floor really disgusts me a lot less than the explosive diapers that end up all over you, the baby's clothes, the car seat, the crib, etc. etc. Then once you add in the dogs that have done worse every once in a while when they get sick, I just figure it comes with the territory. But something about poop on the carpet just was the what got Brent worse than anything else.
My second story of the week is about Lana and counting. Lana loves to learn. Seriously, the kid is like a sponge and seems to pick up whatever we tell her way too quickly. She knows most (if not all) of her letters - like she'll point at an A and say "Apple" or "A" or she'll see an "N" on a sign and say "Nana". She also knows some of the words to her favorite Wiggles songs and can "read" some of her favorite books like Good Night Moon and Everywhere Babies and such. We think she's just brilliant...but we're a bit biased. :-) But for some reason, she seems to just not like numbers. We really haven't pushed the counting, but we've been curious about why she just does not like numbers. What we didn't realize is that she just likes some numbers and not others. Apparently, she does recognize numbers when she sees them even if she refuses to actually count with them. We didn't know that until she held up a counting cookie that said 7 on the back and kept saying "Seven" to Brent when she handed it to him. It took us a while to even figure out what she was saying! Anyway, a few days ago we were playing with Lana and I said "one" so she said "two". We asked what came after "two" and she said "three" and again "four". After "four" she said "six" then "seven", "eight" and "nine" and then "seven" again. Sometimes "seven" even comes after "four". It used to be that her favorite number was "two". If you said "one" she would say "two". If you said "three" she'd say "two" but she'd say 4, 5, etc. Now, apparently, her favorite number is "seven". If only we could get her to acknowledge five, she'd be counting, but mostly she likes to skip 5 and 6 to get to 7 faster. Who would have thought a 20 month old could have a favorite number?? Still, we think it's funny that she seems to prefer certain numbers over others... Maybe we should start letting her pick our lotto numbers, huh?

Cute story about Lana, not so much about the poop. I'm with Brent, I couldn't stand poop on the floor.
It is very true that your definitions of a good night, bad night, change radically over the years. So do your definitions of a good day, bad day. Love the pictures of the girls...
