Potty Training Ups and Downs...

So Lana has decided that she was ready to potty train. Ok, she didn't actually decide that. She just saw some Elmo panties that I got her for when she was ready and went nuts. She is now refusing to wear a diaper without a fight. The problem is that she also doesn't seem to want to stop playing long enough to go to the potty when she needs to. She does great some days (like today) when she doesn't have any accidents and other days we go through five pairs of panties in an hour. We broke down a few days ago and went to pull-ups. At least they have princesses on them so we can call them princess panties (which she also has in addition to the Elmo ones for the days when we go through five in an hour). Anyway, she's doing really great as long as we just remember to bring her to the potty every hour or so. She's not always thrilled to go in there, but we read books and play with her cars and she's getting really good about going right away when we get in there and waiting for it. I just think it's funny that she doesn't tell us (often) when she needs to go, but holds it until we put her on the potty so she's usually dry.
