Finally we got in, only to spend our first bit walking through the festival trying to find a working ATM. Ugh. Lana got her face painted by a nice high school kid. You could pay and get it done at the booths or get it done for free in the kids' section by some high school kids who were volunteering.

Lana's favorite part, though, were the dancers. All the dance schools have their classes put on shows from the little ones (maybe 3 or 4) through the competition teams. Lana LOVED it. I'm hoping to get back down there sometime this weekend when we have more time to watch the shows. Jules wasn't as in love with the dancing and Calli was still wide awake and screaming because we weren't moving so we couldn't stop for long. Thankfully, Calli went out as soon as we started moving and everyone was happy from then on.

We tried to convince Lana and Jules to hold hands to keep track of them easier. Jules, though, just didn't quite understand why Lana was pulling her one way when she really thought we should go the other. Still, they were too cute together!!

Surprisingly, Lana's second favorite part were the cows. Where she's usually terrified to get near any live animals except maybe dogs, she loved the cows and tried to climb in their "pens". It was too funny. Thankfully, they're very friendly cows.

And yes, Lana is still tiny. I think Jules (who just turned 1 in May) is almost the same height.

If Lana is getting more comfortable with animals we might want to try the Jungle Gardens in Sarasota this summer.
