Anyway, the pediatrician says that Calli is doing great. She weighs 14 lbs even. It's funny because we think of her as being so big, but Lana was actually 14.2 lbs at her 6 month visit. The difference is that Lana was almost 7 months at her visit where Calli wasn't quite 6 months. I figure Calli is still going to be about half-a-pound bigger than Lana was. Still, I keep thinking she's so much bigger where she's really not. Funnily enough, Calli is now comfortably fitting into the 3-6 month clothes so she's a size behind like Lana was too. Too funny.
We got the official ok to move onto Stage 2 foods (which we started a week or two ago). She can also have mushed up veggies from our meals, mashed potatoes and things like that. We took advantage of the official ok to give everyone potato soup last night. Calli didn't seem to love it with me, but Brent said that she wouldn't leave him alone and ended up eating almost half of Brent's before he finally put her to bed so he could finish his. We also have to wait a little longer to give her any of the teething crackers or cookies, or at least the pedi asked us to. I had already given Calli one and she liked it, but I agree she's not quite there yet.Still, here's some pics of Calli with the forbidden cookie. She didn't do too badly with it. She's almost there.

To sum it up, Calli is exactly on par or ahead of all her milestones like she's supposed to be and looks 100% healthy. The pedi is very happy with how she's growing along her curve and says just to keep doing what we're doing. Happy Early Six-Month Birthday, Cal!
