I know I've talked about it before, but kids generally don't follow a straight curve/line when their growing and learning new things. It's more like these huge jumps over night...like you could blink and miss it. Well, Calli has made another huge jump recently. In the last week, she went from not wanting to walk to making us hold her hand and help her walk everywhere. It's funny because last week, we couldn't convince her to stay on her feet and she was crawling all over the place. This week, she fusses if she can't get to something to pull up on quickly. She has officially taken her first steps. She took one step on Monday (with much encouragement) from Brent to me (or maybe me to Brent). Then Wednesday night, she took a few more from the couch to me with our friends all there. She also does this thing where she stands up without holding on for like 30 seconds or longer before she crouches down squatting and then finally sits or starts crawling. It's too funny. Then again, I know from experience, we could be days or months before she really starts walking (without holding onto anything). I tried to get a pic of her standing, but of course she didn't want to do it.

More than the trying to walk, is the talking. Calli seems to have new words every day. We figured out that she has about 10-15 now. She says Mama and Daddy and Lana, of course. She also says dog, more, cookie, please, Jack/Jackie, hi, buh bye, hungry, all done, bite, yeah... I can't remember them all. Anyway, it's always funny because we all look at each other the first time she uses we all look at each other like "Did she really say that?" and she gets so proud of herself. It's too cute!

So exciting! Evan is resistant to talking but we are getting there. Great tattoo too!
