We has some very very special visitors this week. My grandparents, Grandpa and Annette, were down in Houston visiting Aunt Anne and Uncle Clark (along with the Shugarts). They decided to drive up to visit us Thursday afternoon and Friday. We were so excited to have everyone. Grandpa and Annette hadn't met Calli yet or even ever seen our house. (We usually meet them in Florida when they're down in March while we visit Nana and Pop.) The girls just loved having everyone around. All that attention and everyone to play with them. Annette got in a good bit of snuggle time with Calli along with play time with Lana. Grandpa happily listened to all of Lana's many stories (babbling?). And Anne and Clark had a great time getting down with the girls, playing kickball and just watching them.
Thursday, we just hung out at the house and played with the girls and relaxed. Annette brought one of her famous wine cakes (that I totally need to get the recipe for) and we had a nice dinner. Friday morning, we headed over to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens for a picnic. The girls loved that playing in the grass, seeing all the butterflies and just enjoying the great weather we've been having. I forgot my camera for the picnic (can you believe it?) but Anne emailed me a few pics from it. (Thanks, Anne!!) So here are a few of my pics and a few of Anne's.
Thanks for coming to visit, Anne, Clark, Grandpa and Annette!!! Hopefully we can do it all again sometime soon!
